Four Letter Dot Com Domains All Gone.

Well, by all gone I mean they are all registered. I have been waiting for this for a while as I have bought a few of these myself. For those who wonder what I am talking about, a four letter dot com, otherwise known as LLLL.com domains, just have four letters and no numbers or hyphens.

A few years ago the three letter dot coms ran out and since then the price has skyrocketed for them. You may be able to find some three letter dot comes for less than $10,000 but most I have seen for sale have gone for at least five figures. That's not bad for a domain that only cost the buyer $8 or $10 to purchase and renew once a year.

Now, I don't expect the four letter domains to skyrocket to the same degreee. However, I do think the price will continue to go up and I would say if you can buy one, even ones that seem lousy, for under $50 and hold on to them for a while it will be a good investment. The good ones are continiously selling for in the hundreds and even thousands.

In fact I have one that I believe will be worth thousands in a couple of months. It's because the domain is right in between two sites that are established. Although I am not in the adult business I did buy this domain about a year ago and thought it could be used in different ways, even non adult sites. Here it is:

XTVE.com

Now if you check out the alexa for XTVEE.com you will see that it is rapidly growing. Also, the domain XTV.com has been an established adult domain for years.

However, another site very close to my XTVE.com is a non adult site, XTVI.com. XTVI.com is a popular site that "features the latest TV show torrents collected in one handy page. Download your favorite tv show episodes using bittorrent." according to the site.

Anyways, getting off track here, but just wanted to show that there are good fourletter dot coms and now that they are all taken at the registrars, I believe the price for any of them will increase in the coming months.
